The work
What it is
EMC² is a University of the Philippines Engineering fraternity with more than 55 years behind it. The site holds the founding history, an alumni archive, and a member portal for the people still active in it.
The portal is the practical part: magic-link sign-in, an opt-in directory so members choose what is public, and dues tracking for whoever keeps the books.
How it is made
Next.js and Supabase Auth carry the member side; Vercel serves it. The public pages are written in the organization's own register, because the audience reads like family rather than customers.
One principle shaped it: a member portal is only useful if the people in it can be found, so the directory is opt-in and editable by each member.
