Who we are

Vibe Coders PH is a Philippine developer and creator community. This policy covers vibecoders.ph, including the Publisher tool at /publish.

The TikTok Publisher

The Publisher lets you connect your own TikTok account and post your own videos to your own profile. Specifically:

  • When you connect TikTok, we receive an access token for your account. That token is encrypted and stored only in a cookie in your browser. It is never written to our database or any server-side store.
  • We request the permissions user.info.basic, video.upload, video.publish and video.list — enough to show you which account is connected, publish the video you choose, and show you your own posts.
  • Your profile name and avatar are shown to you in the composer so you can confirm which account you are posting to. We do not store them.
  • The video file you select is passed to TikTok to complete your upload. We do not keep a copy, re-encode it, or add a watermark.
  • Nothing is posted without you pressing Post or Save to drafts.
  • Selecting Disconnect deletes the cookie. Because that cookie is the only place the token exists, disconnecting removes our access entirely. You can also revoke access from your TikTok account settings at any time.

The rest of the site

When you register for an event or course, we collect the details you enter on the form — typically your name, email address and any answers you give — so we can confirm your place, send you event information, and issue certificates. We use Supabase for storage and Resend for email. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@vibecoders.ph and we will respond. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how the Publisher handles your TikTok connection will be announced on this page.
